Who facilitates an intervention?

An intervention specialist or expert is in charge of facilitating the intervention process. In order to have the best possible outcome to an intervention, the specialist will also request the presence and participation of close relatives and friends, so that the individual knows what kind of impact his/her addiction has had on others. The specialist will work with the family from initial phone call to the pre-intervention meeting and will facilitate the intervention and be fully involved in the follow up after the intervention. After successful completion of the intervention the individual will be personally escorted to treatment and the interventionist will stay in contact with the family throughout the treatment process.
