Will family and friends be involved?

The involvement of friends and family will differ from situation to situation, however often times it is suggested that close family members and friends are involved in the intervention in order to help the individual break out of denial. With the help of an intervention specialist, friends and family members are able to discuss feelings and fears of the individual's addiction openly and honestly. Many times discussions between the individual and loved ones have not been had concerning the individual's addiction, so the intervention opens up a new, stronger line of communication.
